Using iMessage to send to non-applie numbers

I have an iPhone, Mac and Macbook. iMessage works fine with all of them, however I cannot figure out why I can send/receive text messages to non-apple devices on my Macbook, but not on my Mac desktop. I have checked all the settings and everything seems to be identical. Any recommendations?

Hi,

On the iPhone > Settings > Messages are both computers listed in Text Forwarding ?

Activate if not.

You may also want to try resetting the Forwarding for that computer so that the Code Number is regenerated if that does not work.
